Mindbench is currently working on behalf of a major Big4 consulting client. They have a strong brand and culture with a firm commitment to becoming one of the pre-eminent strategy consulting houses for their UK clients. Due to continued growth within the business Mindbench are now looking for a Consumer Business Consultant and Manager to come into the growing practice. Consultants will have the opportunity to develop and deliver strategy in the fascinating space of Consumer Business; embracing consumer products, retail and hotels, leisure and travel. You will work with multi-national clients at a senior level, not only to develop innovative strategies but also to deliver creative solutions thus being able to pick the best way forward for clients in the long term and enhancing your reputation along the way. The role involves: Customer (segmentation) Strategies Market entry / International strategies Multi-Channel / Multi-Format strategies Brand / Marketing Strategies Store Portfolio Strategies Pricing / Trade Promotion Strategies Commercial Models Design and implementation of organisational changes aligned to strategy All aspects of commercial execution, including category management and trade promotions. In order to apply you must possess: Strong analytical/intellectual skills, evidenced by a good first degree and, most likely, an MBA from a leading business school or equivalent experience. Industry experience in a Retail / Consumer Product Blue chip company demonstrating a solid understanding of the fundamental dynamics of a retail and / or CPG environment Consulting experience demonstrating the key skills of consulting business e.g. project management, client management, team management Ability to work across the wider Strategy practice transferring specific skills into other industry sectors Ability to work across the wider Strategy practice potentially working on transactions and commercial due diligences Experience of operating successfully in a project/programme environment; Excellent people development and management skills; Developing commercial/negotiation skills Preferably, experience of sales pursuits in a consultancy environment.
