Baringa Partners, a consultancy focusing on the energy, financial services and utilities markets in both the UK and in continental Europe, has been named third in the The Great Place to Work Institute's list of best companies to work for.

It is the sixth year in a row that the firm has secured a place in the list's top three, after having received the accolade for first place for three years since 2007.

The Best Workplaces Programme, covers a total of ten million employees across 5,500 organisations, making it the largest of its kind in the world.

Rankings are chosen based on the input from management and employees, which in turn ensures the assessment gains an accurate cross-section of all facets associated with the culture, values and successes within any given enterprise.

Baringa's list of employees has grown to over 300 over the course of the last 12 months, with revenues of over 25 per cent.

It has also managed to develop a new Energy Advisory Services Practice, which was formed after the merger with another leading energy consultancy, Redpoint Energy.

Managing partner Mohamed Mansour said: "People are the beating heart of our business, and it matters to us a lot that they see Baringa Partners as a great place to work.  

“Our people-centric culture has helped us to attract, develop and retain some of the most talented and experienced people in our industry. At the same time we are working with many of the leading companies in our sectors to deliver some of their most complex and challenging projects.”

He also added that the firm has taken on issues such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and voluntary work with good causes.

The firm has reinforced its commitment to such projects over the past year, with a total of 114 staff members giving 714 hours of their time to volunteering schemes.

The firm has added that it has developed a strategy for the coming years entitled Vision for 2020, which has been developed in conjunction with employees across the business, and is being used as a basis to refresh its five-year strategy.
