Baringa Partners receive commodity business award for second...

The specialist management consultancy serving the energy and financial services sector, Baringa Partners LLP, has announced that it has been awarded the market Policy and Advisory Award at the Commodity Business Awards for the second year running.

Baringa has a reputation for currently having a growing commodities practice, which it says is active at every stage of the value chain, while also helping clients across the globe in what is a period of immense structural change and consolidation.

The firm's clients include some of the largest names within the energy, utilities and financial services industries, adding extra significance to this latest award.

Baringa has continued its role as a principal advisor within the energy industry over the course of 2013, specialising in areas such as market policy and reform, financial regulations and retail conduct.

Its work has covered a whole range of organisations, including private companies, regulators and governmental branches such as the Department of Energy and Climate Change

The news comes on the back of the company being named as Energy Risk Consultancy Firm of the Year, making 2013 a highly successful year for the company.

Oliver Rix, partner at Baringa Partners, commented: “To receive this recognition two years in a row is fantastic, and testament to our continuous commitment to delivering quality and excellence in everything we do.

“Our dedicated Energy Advisory practice specialises in guiding clients in energy market policy. Our depth of expertise in the European energy space is unparalleled, and our innovative approaches continue to help clients tackle some of their toughest challenges.”

The Commodity Business Awards, which has been running since 1997, aim to reward levels of excellence throughout the commodity supply chain in trading, risk management, structuring, finance, research, advisory, logistics, legal, and specialist technology.

In a statement, the company said that the award demonstrated its continuous motivation and foresight in helping to create a sustainable and secure market infrastructure by offering exceptional market policy advice.
