Boxwood announces expansion plans

Boxwood, an award-winning management consultancy, has announced that it is to expand its insight and research capabilities.

As part of the plans, the firm has confirmed that it will appoint Planet Retail's Paul Martin, who will lead the company's “Boxwood Insights” as managing director.

His new role will see him work closely with the consulting team to ensure that each project will take ever-changing shifts in the market into account during both the delivery and planning phases.

He brings with him extensive analytical experience, as well as an ability to spot behavioural trends, which has benefitted many of Boxwood's clients.

Mr Martin joins having spent the last nine years specialising in identifying key trends enabling businesses to have a better ability to predict various movements within the market.

His most recent role was as managing director at Planet Retail the global retail research company.

During his career, Mr Martin has also managed to build up a reputation for himself as being a respected thought leader, being invited regularly to speak at events all over the world.

Paul Martin commented “Boxwood Insights is an exciting development and one I jumped at the chance of leading. This is a giant leap forward for consulting, responsive not only to the present needs of clients but the likely future direction of the market as well. We will be building on the well-established capabilities within the organisation and further enhance the services we are able to deliver to our client portfolio. It is a privilege to be joining Boxwood.”

Commenting on the appointment, Boxwood's Matt Clark said that Mr Martin's background in macroeconomics, as well as his talent spotting trends meant that he brought a more unique insight on the global consumer sector to the firm. He added that Mr Martin's skills would be invaluable to the company, as it looks to build up insights that offer clients greater awareness and perspectives of their chosen market.
