Capco, a global business and technology consultancy completely devoted to the financial services industry, has been placed 40th on The Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ list for 2014.

This is the third consecutive year that the business has appeared in the newspaper’s rankings.

In response, Andrew Tarver, Capco Partner and UK chief executive officer, said: “It’s a huge accomplishment to make this competitive list three years in a row. I’m privileged to be part of a company where the employees invest such significant time and effort into the business and its philosophy.

“As well as exceeding client expectations, our people create an inspiring and inclusive culture and bring great energy to the firm. This listing is testament to the Capco ethos which challenges us all to find our true potential.”

The company was recognised for the opportunities it offers to employees so that they can grow and learn - only two other UK firms achieved higher scores in this area. In fact, 82 per cent of the firm’s workforce said that they feel the experience they gain while working for the business is invaluable to their future.

Capco also achieved eighth place out of ten in a league table for the most inspiring leader, with 85 per cent of employees confirming they had a great deal of faith in the team and their boss.

The Sunday Times list - produced every year - is based on a rigorous employee survey and company questionnaire. Capco’s placement reflects the strong, positive feedback from staff during 2013.

Over that time, the company has experienced significant growth, but believes it still places employees at the heart of the organisation. There is very little hierarchy within the business, allowing staff to have access to senior leadership on a daily basis. 

According to Capco, the company also actively encourages its workforce to put their own ideas forward, which gives them a platform on which they can develop and grow.
