Cognizant in Gartner's Leaders quadrant

Cognizant has announced that it has been positioned at the top of the "Leaders" quadrant of the 2013 Magic Quadrant for CRM Service Providers Worldwide by Gartner.

The report focuses on the CRM consulting and solution implementation market around the world, with the relative positioning of service providers being based on the “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision.”

The ability to carry out projects was based on the core services provided by a firm, their overall business, financial, strategic and organisational viability, as well as execution, market responsiveness, track record and customer experience.

Meanwhile, the factors that are considered in assessing a firm's completeness of vision include a demonstration of understanding the market, innovation, as well as compelling strategies for sales and marketing, service offerings and a geographical focus.

The report states: “Leaders are performing well today, gaining traction and mind share in the market; they have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.”

“CRM implementation services continue to be in high demand. Service providers are widening beyond CRM software to include consulting, analytics, digital enterprise and social CRM.”

Peter Gambs, senior vice president of Cognizant’s Customer Solutions Practice, said that the changes brought about by social media, as well as the fact that it is now easier than ever to switch products and service providers, has made it even more important to keep strong customer relationships at the forefront of business transformation strategies.

"The focus of CRM has moved to building and managing the entire customer experience,” he said.

He added that he believed the company's position in the Leaders quadrant showed the evidence of the strength it has in terms of its extensive experience in implementing CRM solutions across various markets in a host of different countries and industries.
