Coriolis unveils new cloud-based performance...

Coriolis, one of the leading management consultants in the food industry, has announced that it has launched the world's first cloud-based factory performance software, which it says will help factories increase their bottom-line.

The new program has been specifically developed to be used by food manufacturers and will help them monitor and effectively improve aspects such as productivity, operational equipment effectiveness, as well as waste and yields.

It will be suitable for large and small companies, providing a cost-effective solution for both.

Full automation of the software means that it can be linked directly to production lines and other systems, or alternatively employees can manually put data into a PC terminal, tablet or any other device with access to the web; all in a matter of seconds.

Once the system is in place, it can provide unique analysis such as product mixture evaluation, or the true cost of a material from a supplier with real-time yields taken into account.

Mark Schubert, director at Coriolis said: "All organisations capture data, but few generate information. We have developed this system with the end user in mind and are keenly aware that food manufacturers often operate on very tight margins. The advantage of having a cloud based system is that the information can be accessed from anywhere and it can be updated via any web-enabled device."

He added that the use of the system, named Minimum In Maximum Out, would lead to positive effects on the bottom line of factories as it would help the efficiency of both individuals and processes.

Mr Schubert said that the relationship between individuals within the factory and the processes that they interact with, is much like an eco-system, and that implementing the new system was not the one single handed way of ensuring factory success.

Coriolis has also confirmed that it will advise manufacturers on the best way to implement the system, and ensure that they get the very most out of the new software, and ensure that it is suitably integrated within existing management systems and provide a constant level of ongoing support for staff members.
