KPMG lands family-friendly recognition in Canada

KPMG has been recognised for its commitment to promoting an inclusive working environment with an award.

The multi-national company has been named among a host of businesses as Canada's Top Family-Friendly Employers for 2013 displaying its progressive and forward-thinking attitude to supporting staff with young families.

Officials were impressed with the range of measures that KPMG has introduced to address emerging issues such as a more extensive maternity leave scheme which will begin in January 2013.

The 'Baby Buddy' programme allows female workers to benefit from monthly meetings for those going on and coming back from leave which will be conducted by women partners and senior managers.

Kristy Carscallen, partner and chief human resources officer at KPMG, said: "Striking that balance is of critical importance to the firm. We're dedicated to ensuring our professionals at all levels have the right opportunities, relationships, and resources to reach their full potential."
