Capco announces appointment of ‘industry veteran’

Capco has announced that it has appointed a leading expert in programme, product and technology management as a London-based partner and member of its UK management team.

The leading financial services and business technology consultancy lauded Rob Morgan’s arrival at the firm, describing him as an industry veteran.

Mr Morgan has over 20 years worth of experience in his specialism at leading financial services organisations.

At Capco he will be in charge of banking and payments practices and is already tasked with extending its multi-service payments offering.

Additionally, Mr Morgan, who has been based in London, Hong Kong and Bermuda, will spearhead the banking practice, delivering support to Capco’s challenger bank clients.

“Rob’s experience across the financial services industry, including a period as a jurisdictional COO at a tier-one bank, is invaluable to us as an organisation,” commented Steve Vinnicombe, UK chief executive officer of Capco.

“From a client perspective, being able to work with a team from a similar background to themselves, with in-depth and practical knowledge of the issues they face, is a real asset. Rob demonstrates a wealth of credentials in this regard.”

Mr Morgan added by saying that a considerable aspect of his new role will be in constructing a payments practice to take on the challenges facing banks in this specific area.

He concluded: "With 100 billion payments transactions processed in Europe during 2014, and close to 50 per cent growth in start-ups specialising in this field, we see tremendous potential.”

Mr Morgan has expertise in banking operations, as well as treasury and securities services.

He also has ample experience of working with clients through all stages of the lifecycle.
