Hudson & Yorke lands award

by Adel Asim

Hudson & Yorke has been honoured with an accolade at the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) Awards.

The company was commended for its recent work with major banking group Barclays and was presented with the Outsourcing Award at the annual dinner and ceremony on April 19th.

Hudson & Yorke worked with the multi-national bank to help give it flexibility to move to a hybrid system, which enabled it to in-source some of its principal telecommunications services.

Barclays hired the consultancy team to help negotiate key deals for new complex strategy contracts and the bank noted that it was successful in the move towards a hybrid sourcing model in the past 18 months.

Harry McDermott, chief executive of Hudson & Yorke, said: "It is great to be recognised for our work on this exceptional project with Barclays. As a specialist ICT consultancy Hudson & Yorke prides itself on delivering real value to companies through our expertise."

KPMG was also honoured at the awards ceremony scooping the gongs in the 'Operational Performance in the Private Sector' and 'Technology' categories.
