Management consultant appointed to Actavis...

by Jamie Anderson

US firm Watson has revealed that it has appointed a new management consultant to help oversee its €4.3 million (£3.4 million) acquisition of Actavis.

The company unveiled Marc Lehnen to head up its new global integration management office, which will be prominent in the takeover of the Swiss-based firm.

Mr Lehnen will join Watson on July 1st after spending a decade with McKinsey, where he worked in the company's European healthcare practice.

He will take up the new position of senior vice president of Watson's global integration management, which will work toward merging Actavis into its operations.

Actavis president and chief executive Paul Bisaro said: "Marc will be charged with identifying members of senior management across the organisations to support the global integration of the two companies."

The Actavis Group, which was set up in 1956, currently employs 10,000 staff across 40 countries and considers itself a world leader in producing medicines in a number of different formulations.
