Peter Mockler will act as BearingPoint's managing partner for the next three years after being formally re-elected.

The management consultant first took on the role in 2009 when the company was established as an independent, partner-owned organisation.

Since being in this position, Mr Mockler has overseen the firm increasing its revenues from €441 million (£348 million) to €514 million, with the number of employees growing by 200 to 3,400.

"Now, three years after the MBO (management buyout), we have a very strong position in the consulting market. I am delighted to continue developing BearingPoint’s presence and practices... to further our successful value creation strategies for clients," he stated.

Mr Mockler went on to say that focus will be placed on international cooperation to "establish our unique combination of management and technology consultancy for clients across countries and businesses".

BearingPoint's strengths lie in aligning and optimising processes, IT and operating models within an organisation's business strategy to help improve performance.
