Our client is growing the work they are doing in the Utilities sector. They are looking for a  Managing Consultant or Principal Consultant to be a member of their Core and / or Operations team and is expected to take a lead role in new business development, managing key client relationships and achieving a high standard of delivery in clients.

Contribution to Core and Operations Team
•Contribute to the development of our client's business strategy
•Play a key role in implementing the business strategy as directed by the Board or the Core team
•Provide accurate account / sector information as and when required
•Contribute to the development of offers and services as required
•Support other team members to achieve team goals
•Take a lead role in recruiting, managing and developing consultants as required

Generating Demand
•Conduct market/customer surveys, using the insight gained to shape decisions affecting future direction & priorities
•Take an active role in implementing plans to acquire new clients, including the writing and publishing of case studies/articles, presenting at seminars & conferences and attending networking events
•To highlight requirements for new product/service development

Winning business
•Take a lead role in progressing sales leads according to the win business process
•Play a role in writing discussion documents, tenders and proposals completing work according to recognised sales processes
•Develop and lead sales presentations to potential clients
•Liaise with clients, consultants and the business services manager to mobilise teams to deliver projects

Managing major client relationships
•To be the primary contact for the client to oversee any contracting negotiations on behalf of our client ensuring their credibility and reputation is protected from risk
•Oversee the quality of delivery, including the selection of consultant team members
•Develop plans to grow the account further
•Develop new client relationships
•Work with other managers to realise the full benefit of our learning in other business opportunities
•To build networks within the client to identify future possibilities for business development
•To solicit feedback from the client on their performance

Managing Delivery
•Manage and deliver all aspects of projects to a high level of customer satisfaction according to their project's methodologies detailed on the Business Management System
•To be sufficiently competent in at least one key area of their portfolio to be able to work at senior level in clients
•Ensure the client files are updated with the appropriate project information
•To track which consultants are working in the client, and on which days
•Work with the client to resolve any issues that occur during delivery and ensure all issues are resolved to the client and their mutual satisfaction.
