Accenture awarded at Dreamforce 2013

Accenture has been recognised for its contribution to industry solutions at the Partner Innovation Awards. The prize was presented last night in San Francisco at Dreamforce 2013 - a vendor-led technology gathering.

The company’s work with Unilever, a consumer goods company, was the reason Accenture was deemed deserving of the Award for Industry Solutions. They were able to produce a digital social platform that worked to connect Unilever’s staff and partners with over 190 different countries. The program, built on the Salesforce Platform, was created and implemented in a relatively short space of time - just twelve weeks. It allows Unilever's marketers to share industry information and best practices that will improve the overall performance of the company.

Marc Mathieu, senior vice president of marketing at Unilever, said: “The new applications boost collaboration amongst our marketers globally, helping them to easily find people, information and conversations that they should be a part of. The platform provides our team with the tools they need to develop and build our brands in local markets, which is critical to driving our ‘Crafting Brands for Life’ strategy.”

Accenture is the world’s largest consulting firm, employing over 275,000 people in 56 different countries. The company deals with several industries including: communications, media and technology, financial services, and health and public services. Their reputation is solid, they have experience of working with more than three-quarters of the companies included on the Fortune 500 list.

Paul Daugherty, chief technology officer at  Accenture, said: “Accenture is pleased to be recognised for our innovative work with Unilever to deliver a digital social platform that helped to transform their business and enable new ways of collaborating. This work with Unilever is a great example of the industry focused solutions that we’re developing on the Salesforce Platform for our clients around the world.”

Accenture intends to continue collaborating with in the future and plans to launch a new service that uses digital and social platforms to capture data to provide a comprehensive view of consumers.
