Atos enters partnership with Samsung

The consulting and advisory firm, Atos, has announced that it is to develop advanced B2B offerings for large enterprises and the public sector, as part of a new partnership with technology giant Samsung.

Services will include end-to-end retail technology, digital signage, connected vehicles, mobility solutions, and end-user cloud computing.

The announcement of the partnership comes on the back of the news that sales of tablets and B2B displays are set to double by the year 2016.

Thierry Breton, chairman and chief executive officer of Atos, said: "I am very pleased to announce our strategic partnership with Samsung. Today, mobility and consumer electronics are radically changing the world of IT and enable new ways of working and selling, by improving customer experience in a connected world.

"The innovative solutions we will launch with enterprise-grade services will ensure that Atos is well positioned to play a leading role in this new and growing market."

Mr Breton added that the partnership would aim to harness the appropriate skills and expertise in both companies, in order to better service customers.

Atos claims that its worldwide infrastructure and proven track record of know-how in the IT sector will help it to deliver a wide range of solutions aimed at making it easier for customers to realise the benefits of Samsung's technology, and the positive impact it can have on businesses all over the world.

For example, car sellers would be able to give their customers the opportunity to integrate their tablet device into the way in which they use their vehicle, a development that could provide a whole host of benefits in logistics.

The alteration of the work environment would also be a factor for both large enterprises and public administration, due to the possibility of secured end-user environments, as well as as bring your own device (BYOD) solutions.

Both of these changes would make it easier to integrate tablets and mobile devices into a business' current IT infrastructure.

Retailers could also soon benefit from solutions such as data-driver engagement with shoppers, which would potentially offer a completely unique store experience.
