KPMG secures BrainNet takeover

KPMG has announced that it is near to the completion to acquire consulting firm BrainNet which holds expertise in supply chain management.

The takeover is designed to boost KPMG's capability in designing and optimising global operations in terms of this sector, and BrainNet joins the firm with key knowledge within the field.

While financial information of this deal has not been disclosed, both parties expect the transaction to be completed in the summer following approval from the applicable regulatory organisations.

BrainNet, which is based in both Germany and Switzerland, has been serving clients with solutions in the areas of research and development, operations, logistics and strategic qualification for the past 15 years.

Klaus Becker, chief executive in KPMG Germany, said: "Clients are looking for innovative ways to continually adapt their organisations in response to changing marketplace dynamics. Optimising the supply chain helps to support this transformation and create sustainable value for their business."
