PwC voted top graduate employer for 15th year...

PwC has maintained its position at the peak of the Times' list of the top 100 graduate employers, securing first place for a record 15th consecutive year.

The professional services firm is one of only three employers to have topped the ranking since it was launched in 1999, along with Accenture and the Civil Service.

More than 19,000 final-year students are surveyed to compile the report. They are asked simply: "What employer do you think offers the best opportunities for graduates?"

All of the Big Four accountancy firms - PwC, Deloitte, KPMG and EY - featured among the top 100 graduate employers this year.

In its latest recruitment round, PwC received more than 50,000 applications from students hoping to secure one of its 1,216 graduate and 550 school leaver places. That equates to nearly 36 people for every available position.

The firm has recently made a number of significant changes to improve its offering to graduates, including the launch of a technology degree apprenticeship. More than 100 students started fully-funded computer science or data science degree courses with five different UK universities in September.

Six out of ten graduate roles available with PwC are now based outside London and new routes into the business are opening up to make opportunities available to a more diverse range of candidates.

Chairman and senior partner Kevin Ellis said the company was "delighted" to be voted the top graduate employer for the 15th year in a row.

"Over that time, we have recruited, trained and developed more than 15,000 graduates and provided work experience for more than 5,000 undergraduates - a legacy we are extremely proud of," he added.

"At PwC, we want to attract and retain the most talented people so we're continually evolving our recruitment processes to ensure they're as open and inclusive as possible."
