Job description

​Our client are focused on providing energy clients with trusted, independent advice. They are currently seeking an analyst / associate that is keen to learn and/or hone their existing corporate finance skills from experienced professionals with diverse backgrounds in a small team environment.Given our flat organisation structure, the selected candidate will have immediate profile and are expected to make an impact immediately.Our ideal candidate can ‘think critically’, has a good working knowledge of the energy industry and experience at building and maintaining financial models and familiarity with M&A and financing process management. Responsibilities

·         Conduct due diligence from a variety of sources

·         Gather, analyse and interpret data

·         Prepare marketing materials

·         Build and maintain financial models

·         Support the execution of a variety of transactions (e.g. mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt raises, etc.)

·   Support senior bankers on M&A and fundraising mandates, for energy transition clients, as well as oil & gas.

·         Lead discussions with clients on specific topics

Requirements

·         Friendly, team player

·         Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

·         Ability to think critically about a client’s wants / needs

·         Analytically focused with experience in financial modelling

·         Experience in a corporate finance or equivalent business background at Analyst or Associate leel

·         Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint

·         General interest in world news and potential impact to the sector globally

Applicants should be experienced in: due diligence, gathering and analysis of financial and commercial data, building and maintaining financial models in Excel, preparation of PowerPoint presentations and corporate finance transaction execution. Applicant should be: friendly & a team player, strong at report writing and presenting findings, able to think critically about a client's business and objectives. Applicant should have some experience in oil & gas or power & renewables.
