Be a part of the Brand & Strategy team for one of the largest brands of a FTSE 250 plc which is undergoing a significant transformation, with data driven insight at the core


Our client operates nearly 500 restaurants and pubs in the UK’s casual dining sector.

They are looking for somebody with 1-2 years' experience gained in a recognised strategy consultancy to join their Strategy Team in London. The Strategy Team is considered an excellent stepping stone towards future opportunities within the business.

About the our client

They currently serve over 43 million meals each year through our brands which include Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito, Coast to Coast, Garfunkel’s, Brunning & Price and Joe's Kitchen. We also operate a Concessions business which trades over 60 outlets across more than 30 brands, primarily in UK airports.

About the team

The Group now has a strategic focus to bring insight and analytics as the key driver of operational and strategic decisions. The team needs support with getting the right analysis and insights for decision making and strategy development.

This team is run by the Managing Director of the brand, who reports to the CEO. The team will take responsibility in defining the strategy of the brand, as well as being responsible for delivering results. Members of the team will enjoy unrivalled exposure across the business, including the Executive Committee and CEO.

About the opportunity – Customer & Market Insights Analyst

This role will be a perfect fit for someone who has done their ‘training’ in a strategy consulting and/or in market intelligence roles, but is looking to step into industry for a more hands on role, with an unrivaled opportunity to learn in a fast paced operating environment and where they can be part of delivering growth, rather than just advising on it. At a high level, you will:

  • Contribute with business performance analysis, providing insights on market and internal trading performance
  • Contribute to the delivery of appropriate product and pricing strategies for key businesses
  • Contribute with developing menu recommendations based on customer trends and sales performance
  • Develop and test business plans
  • Provide commercial recommendations and insight based on data
  • Support with AdHoc research

About you:

  • Minimum of one year of strategy consulting or market intelligence experience
  • Strong degree from a top university
  • High degree of numeracy
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, and ability to handle large data sets
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Full existing working rights for the EU
  • Experience in Retail / Restaurants / Hospitality preferred but not required
