Executive Support and Strategy to the CEO - Top Growing Tech/Digital Firm, London

The mission

They're looking for someone to support their CEO as their Strategic Executive Assistant, helping them make the best use of their time and enabling them to drive our growing business forward. This opportunity would really suit a driven business graduate who wants to be at the heart of a growing and thriving business, being exposed to and involved in key business discussions and activities; all the while being mentored by an award winning CEO. This is not just making room bookings or taking notes in meetings; this exciting role is about living and breathing their CEO’s priorities, working with them to prepare meeting content, drive actions with our senior team, and build strong relationships with our third party stakeholders.




You will need to be highly motivated and confident, with bags of enthusiasm. You will be responsible for all aspects of supporting the CEO, doing whatever it takes to help their success.  You should be confident in supporting and driving various projects, to add value to the business, its vision and direction.  You will be a part of a hardworking, dedicated team and will play an integral role to our overall company morale. Efficiency and attention to detail are key to the role and you will need proven personal/executive assistant experience.  You will be proactive in your approach and will use your past experience in planning ahead and keeping organised to keep our CEO’s schedule and workload running smoothly.


Reporting Line


Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer you will be an extension of their role for all aspects of ‘getting it done’.


Responsibilities and duties will include:


  • Being the first point of contact for the CEO;

  • Maintaining contact with and building strong relationships with key external parties;

  • Co-ordinating inputs from across our leadership team for internal projects / initiatives;

  • Actively participating in meetings and taking minutes and notes of actions.

  • Ensuring actions are followed up on prior to any executive meetings.

  • Producing presentations, reports and correspondence;

  • Ownership of agenda and advanced meeting preparation for the CEO;

  • Reviewing meeting content to ensure there is a clear purpose and that it’s good use of the Leadership Team’s time;

  • Proactive diary management, ensuring advanced planning takes place to take into account deadlines and timelines that need to be met;

  • Organising national & international travel arrangements (including itineraries);

  • General & financial administration including low-level budget management;

  • Preparation and submission of expenses;

  • Working with HR and other SLT support to arrange and manage team and company-wide events.


Person specification:

(Essential and desirable)


 Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

  • A 2:1 or above degree with good business acumen and possibly an MBA
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work closely with senior management

  • Judgement and decision-making ability

  • Service and solution orientated

  • Flexible approach and positive attitude

  • A highly motivated individual with an enthusiastic approach (and a sense of humour!)

  • Outgoing personality with infectious and unshakeable positive energy

  • Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
