About the Client:
Our client is a global payments firm which are growing internationally. They are leaders in their sector and they are now looking for a Portuguese speaking strategy analyst to join them in London and work closely with the CEO. 

Role Purpose:
To support CEO to achieve the overall business plan, through delivery of research and data analysis to provide strategic proposals aligning global strategy, people, process and technology.


› Assess potential strengths and weakness of strategic opportunities using,
analysis techniques, bench marking of best practices and external research to determining optimal outcome.
› Undertakes research as directed into the sector markets and competitors via consultation and desk based
› Creates presentations for management for staff, management, Exco and Board

› Identify, assess and develop opportunities, propositions and business plans
across markets for business development, innovation, investment and acquisition (market sizing, benchmarking, competitor intelligence and insights, business acquisition targets evaluating) all the way to implementation plans and tools for global roll-outs
› Central role for the business, applying analytical and strategic skills set to aid Exec Committee and Senior Leadership Team.
› Significant exposure to senior management and a direct influence on major strategic decision making within the business.
› Contributes to the development and execution of business strategies

› Is personally compliant with all Company Rules and Regulations as laid down in manuals and other Company documents and publications
› Works with all support functions as needed
› Liaises with the Compliance and Fraud teams to understand control issues and uses the information for improvement
› Strives for continuous improvement of operations
›Monitors and reports on implementation of new products and services effectively, on time and in budget


Knowledge and Experience:
› Has had extensive experience working as an associate/analyst/strategist within a consulting firm, investment bank, accounting firm or in another highly analytical role and is a fluent Portuguese speaker
› Able to combine numerical with non-numerical analysis
› Dedicated approach to solving problems
› Working within a multichannel environment (e.g. telephone, email, face to face)
› Good understanding of FX
› Understanding of databases and CRM systems (desirable)


› The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
› The ability to work creatively and analytically
› Good organisational skills including prioritisation
› Critical thinking
› Exceptional business acumen
› Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills
› Tableau skills (desirable)
› Capable of establishing KPIs and management reporting
› Ability to communicate effectively, and articulately, across all levels of seniority
› Skilled at presenting
› Works effectively with others to achieve goals
