With a backdrop of rapid digital change and fierce global competition, our client is moving through its own transformational journey. To support their transformation and growth aspirations, they will continue building a scalable organisation, with systems, platforms and a structure that enables them to change and scale rapidly. In this backdrop, it’s vital that their communications support this strategy, representing one coherent story to our clients, employees, media and other key stakeholders. 

The purpose of the role is to support the organisations transformation agenda by developing and leading on a strategic approach to change communications across their network. The role will work across a number of transformation programmes such as functional transformation, operating model roll out and key business change initiatives.

The role will provide communications counsel and build change communications capability with key leaders to help them to deliver engaging and authentic communications to help drive change. A key part of the role will be working with leadership, programme communications and change leads to ensure an aligned and joined up approach to how we communicate the transformation agenda to their people. This role reports to the Head of Employee Communications and is based in London.


Deliver communications to support transformation programmes which are aligned to our business strategy.

· Develop an aligned communications approach and plan across transformation programmes with our people’s experience at the core

· Enable change through clear, aligned, timely and compelling communications and engagement activities

· Establish stakeholder engagement framework and manage a programme of activity to engage and drive their support and participation the transformation agenda

· Create and deliver cross programme communications, collateral and content to support the transformation agenda

· Develop a network across programmes (leadership and communications and change/readiness leads) to influence and align views to ensure effective change communications

· Provide targeted strategic and tactical communications support within specific programmes as required

· Drive continuous improvement and excellence through monitoring, evaluation, refinement and improvement being integral to everything we do.

Build change communications capability with key leaders to help them to deliver engaging and authentic communications to our employees

· Develop networks and partnerships with leaders in support of the transformation agenda

· Provide strategic counsel and tactical support to leadership to drive effective communications and collaboration

· Enable a communications experience focusing on leader-led storytelling, creating connections and fostering a culture of collaboration in support of the employee communications strategy

· Build leadership communications capability by equipping leaders with the right tools and skills to become strategic storytellers and enable a culture of collaboration and two way conversations and establish the mind-set and behaviours needed to create clarity in uncertainty and support the business change


Showcase industry leadership with digital platforms that reflect our digital and creative people

· Leverage digital and social environments as a driver for employee engagement and enable open conversations to support the change

· Deliver rich content in formats that plug into a digital world

· Constantly seek to push the boundaries and lead the way in utilising digital channels and tools to engage our people


Contribute to a culture of high performance across the communciations team and network through strategic insight, collaboration and partnership.

· Drive a culture of best practice and new approaches to communications to ensure we are leaders in what we do

· Contribute to communications toolkits to create robust communications frameworks 

· Foster a culture of communications and collaboration across the communications network 

Experience required: 

  • Experienced employee communications professional, with proven expertise in all aspects of communications across multiple communications channels
  • Background in consulting, business transformation and change communications
  • Experience in working with complex subject matters and creating clear and compelling messages to drive engagement and understanding across a broad audience group
  • Proven experience in undertaking comprehensive research and analysis exercises to deliver an insight driven approach
  • Proven ability to coach executives, influence senior leaders and develop strong relationships when working across a complex, matrix environment to get things done
  • Project management experience to prioritise and drive comms initiatives and deliver work on time and to budget
  • Experience in developing and managing digital communications channels to drive effective employee communications
  • Strong communication skills, in particular creative copywriting– able to “story tell” to land messages powerfully
  • Experience working with designers to produce high quality content with high production value
  • Healthy focus on monitoring, measurement and ROI
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships in a matrix organisation and influence key stakeholders
