Job description

​Our client are a dedicated team of Strategy Consultants operating across the health, social care, and education markets. They deliver commercial due diligence and strategic reports to leading investors, banks and operators across the sector. Due to increasing business growth, they are now looking to recruit additional Managers and Senior Consultants to join the team to join them through the next phase of their journey.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Strategy Consultant or have a Corporate Strategy background from a recognised firm, preferably with experience in conducting commercial due diligence. Ideally you will have M&A CDD experience on behalf of Social Care or Healthcare organisations.

In your role as a Manager or Senior Consultant you will be engaged in a number of tasks:

• Leading a team of Consultants and Business Analysts, taking responsibility for project delivery

• Running projects on a day-to-day basis, structuring and managing the workstreams, and supervising delivery

• Co-ordinating with key project stakeholders, including clients and internal team members

• Managing appropriate senior management input and ensuring progress and risks are effectively communicated to senior management throughout the project

• Planning initial hypothesis and analysis; formulating initial hypotheses based on previous experience, knowledge of the sector, and understanding of the scope of work

• Ensuring reports are presented in a structure manner, presenting a compelling narrative, and bringing value-added insights to the customer

• Developing the approach to address the project brief, and driving research and analysis with appropriate tools and techniques

• Contributing to conclusions and supporting senior management in presenting back to the client

• Contributing to the wider business through business development, knowledge sharing, mentoring junior team members, and other activities

Requirements:

• Previous strategy consultancy experience from either a strategy consulting firm or the strategy or business development function in a corporate

• Direct experience of managing strategy and commercial due diligence projects for private equity or corporate clients, with the ability to act independently

• Some experience of CDD M&A to the healthcare or social care sectors

Strong skills in:

o Market and competitor analysis (market sizing, drivers of demand, market dynamics, competitive analysis etc.)

o Customer analysis (market segmentation etc.)

o Internal analysis (operational capabilities, business model review, financial assessment)

o An ability to multi-task effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support effectively

o Good client management skills, including an understanding of how to communicate with clients of different backgrounds and opinions

o Proven experience of mentoring junior team members

o Candidates are expected to have an outstanding academic track record

o Fluency in another (European) language is an asset
