Job description

Our client is a hybrid commercial strategy and insight agency specialising in the media and technology sectors. Their clients include Amazon, Facebook and the BBC.

They have a retained UXR contract (with a large technology company), plus occasional ad hoc projects with an element of UXR and usability.

They are looking to find an experienced UXR researcher who can manager and deliver their retained UXR contract.

They do some UXR work already:

-UXR retainer with a large tech company– interview based research, exploring app and games developer usage of upcoming releases of developer-focused platforms and services

-UX baseline study of SVOD service – understanding user expectations of SVOD services, and their behaviours, at a general level, plus UX testing of a prototype

-Advertising testing – helping a BVOD service develop the most effective and appropriate advertising offer, including exploring the most appropriate formats / interfaces for the advertising around their video content.

They have also recently hired a Head of UXR who will oversee both B2B and B2C UXR projects. Their media, entertainment and technology clients commission a wide range of B2B and B2C UXR and usability research. This includes both consumer and B2B-facing research to help them develop SVOD, AVOD and related services, or a wide variety of apps and games.

THE ROLE

-Research Manager to manage their retained account and develop/sell their wider UXR offer

What skills and capabilities?

oPresenting findings in a clear and engaging way

-Ideally experienced across media and entertainment, but will consider candidates from outside the sector if all other capabilities are there
