Job description
This is a contract role working with a leading not for profit. It will be approx 10-20 days over the course of 6 months, with the potential for the contract to extend longer to 1 year+. It is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious new organisation that exists to train, support and mobilise anonymous groups of senior staff from powerful industries whaare working for a more just and regenerative world. You'll be one of the earliest staff members in a dedicated team and will play a key leadership role as we grow. They are looking for a senior professional who is able to lead our efforts to manage data, privacy, tech and security. The nature of their work is anchored in the need to protect those senior professionals who are confidentially involved in our work. We have identified a high risk of corporate espionage, hacking and surveillance as they grow. Your job will be to advise on the systems, processes, data storage and information flows that will allow us to keep our work as well protected as possible. You will have a background in implementing data and privacy strategies in high risk/high security environments and have both a technical background in the field as well as a strategic, operational view on how to make this happen within a small organisation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This client works with senior professionals across every major company and industry in the UK who care deeply about the world around them as well as the companies they work for. Your role will be to protect their data. You will lead the information, tech and data strategies within the organisation. You’ll be a self-starter leading your own strategy in an exciting new organisation. This role is suited to someone who is comfortable working independently in a fast-evolving context, who combines strategic clarity with strong operational delivery, and who is motivated by the challenge of building something new. This is a hands-on role. There is no delivery team to delegate to, so comfort with rolling up your sleeves is essential.
